Comparison review
The Huawei P40 Lite is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, getting a global score of 79.5 against 77.7. Despite being the best cellphone in this comparison review, Huawei P40 Lite's construction is somewhat thicker and just a little heavier than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Both phones we compare here include Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei P40 Lite has older 10 version while Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Huawei P40 Lite and Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite have incredibly similar displays, because although the Huawei P40 Lite has a bit less pixels per inch of display, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2310px and a little bigger display. The Huawei P40 Lite has a processing unit that's just as good as the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite one, both of them have a Octa-Core CPU and 6 GB of RAM.
Huawei P40 Lite has a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Huawei P40 Lite also has a bigger diafragm aperture to take better low light captures and video, a lot larger sensor providing a much better image quality and a camera with a lot higher resolution.
Huawei P40 Lite's storage capacity for games and applications is just as good as Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite's one, they have equal 128 GB internal storage capacity. The Huawei P40 Lite counts with greater battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity.
