Motorola Edge 50 Neo is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, getting a general score of 81.9 against 77.7. Both devices in this review have Android OS (operating system), but Motorola Edge 50 Neo has older 14 version and Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo version. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo is a a bit heavier and just a little thicker cellphone than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite features a very superior hardware performance than Motorola Edge 50 Neo, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo features a much better display than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because it has a quite larger screen, a better 1256 x 2760px resolution and a little higher display density.
The Motorola Edge 50 Neo shoots better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Motorola Edge 50 Neo also has a larger aperture to take better low light images, a much bigger back camera sensor capturing way higher quality videos and photos and a back-facing camera with a way better resolution.
The Motorola Edge 50 Neo counts with much more memory to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Motorola Edge 50 Neo features greater battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because it has a 4310mAh battery size instead of 3350mAh.
