The Sony Xperia 1 has a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because it has a much higher resolution of 1644 x 3840, a much greater screen density and a little larger display. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has just a bit better camera than Sony Xperia 1, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for low-light captures and videos, and they both have a back facing camera with a 12 MP and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite also counts with a larger camera sensor and faster 30 fps video frame rate.
