Comparison review
The Xiaomi 12 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, with a score of 78.8 against 77.7. Both devices we compare here work with Android operating system, but Xiaomi 12 has the previous 12 version and Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite has Android 8.1 Oreo version. Even being the best in this review, the Xiaomi 12 is a a little bit heavier and a little bit thicker cellphone than the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite counts with a much more powerful CPU than Xiaomi 12, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi 12 features a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Xiaomi 12 also has a quite better 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a little bit higher screen pixels density.
Xiaomi 12 features as much storage capacity for applications and games as the Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, both have exactly the same internal storage. The Xiaomi 12 counts with a very superior camera than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, and although they both have the same camera aperture, the Xiaomi 12 also has a way better 7680x4320 video quality, a much bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a lot more MP camera.
The Xiaomi 12 has longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite, because it has a 34 percent greater battery capacity.
