Moto Z2 Play is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, getting a overall score of 77.4 against 75.9. Moto Z2 Play is an older phone than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, but Motorola was able to make it thinner and lighter anyway. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE has a bit faster processing unit than Moto Z2 Play, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE also has 2 GB more RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE has a little bit better looking screen than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a just a bit greater display density, a quite larger display and a little higher 1080 x 2244px resolution. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Moto Z2 Play, although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for low light photos, they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and a back camera with a 12 mega-pixels.
Motorola Moto Z2 Play features a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory, the Motorola Moto Z2 Play also has a SD card slot that admits up to 1,95 TB. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE counts with just a bit longer battery lifetime than Moto Z2 Play, because it has a 4% bigger battery size.
