Xiaomi Mi 8 SE has an overall score of 75.9, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro's 75.8 global score. Even though the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro were only released with a couple months difference, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is a bit thinner and just a little lighter. The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE works with Android operating system, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro counts with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system.
Xiaomi Mi 8 SE counts with just a bit better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2244px and a just a little higher pixel density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, because it has a 28 percent greater battery size. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE has a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have the same resolution back camera, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE also has a bigger aperture to capture better images and videos in poorly lited situations and a much higher video resolution.
