Comparison review
Huawei Mate 30 5G has a score of 87.4, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8's 83.3 global score. Both phones in this review have the same Android 10 OS (operating system). Huawei Mate 30 5G is a newer cellphone than Xiaomi Mi 8, but it is heavier and a little bit thicker. Xiaomi Mi 8 and Huawei Mate 30 5G count with incredibly similar CPUs, and although the Huawei Mate 30 5G has a higher amount of RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bit better looking display than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because although it has a bit smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2248 pixels, it also counts with a little higher screen density. The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Huawei Mate 30 5G, because it has 256 GB internal memory.
Huawei Mate 30 5G shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and a same size aperture, the Huawei Mate 30 5G also has a lot higher resolution back-facing camera, higher 60 fps video frame rate and a lot larger sensor providing a way better image quality.
Huawei Mate 30 5G counts with better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh.
