Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is a little bit better than the nubia Red Magic 5S, getting an 83.3 score against 76.2. Xiaomi Mi 8 is an notably older phone than the nubia Red Magic 5S, but Xiaomi could make it much thinner and much lighter. These phones work with the same Android 10 OS (operating system). The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little sharper screen than nubia Red Magic 5S, because although it has a bit worse 1080 x 2248 pixels resolution and a bit smaller display, and they both have the same screen brightness, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch in the screen.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 has a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games than nubia Red Magic 5S, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity. The nubia Red Magic 5S's processor is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 8 one, and although the nubia Red Magic 5S has a larger amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Nubia Red Magic 5S counts with superior battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity against 3400mAh. The nubia Red Magic 5S shoots greater photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same diafragm aperture, the nubia Red Magic 5S also has a back camera with lot more megapixels, a much bigger camera sensor taking lot better quality videos and photos and a lot better video resolution.
