Samsung Galaxy A71 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 8, getting an 87.5 score against 83.3. These phones work with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy A71 has a more recent 11 version while Xiaomi Mi 8 has Android 10, so it gives some nice extra features. Samsung Galaxy A71's body has the same thickness than Xiaomi Mi 8, but it's a little heavier.
