The Samsung Galaxy Fold has a general score of 97.6, which is better than the Xiaomi Mi 8's overall score of 83.3. Samsung Galaxy Fold's construction is newer and just a little bit thinner than the Xiaomi Mi 8's, although it is also heavier. These phones use Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Fold has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi 8 has Android 10, providing you lots of additional features and some performance improvements.
Samsung Galaxy Fold features a little better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Samsung Galaxy Fold also has a greater amount of RAM.
