Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a general score of 83.3, which is a little bit better than the Sony Xperia 1's general score of 82.6. Despite of the fact that the Xiaomi Mi 8 is older than the Sony Xperia 1, it's design is just a little lighter and a little thinner. Xperia 1 counts with a sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a lot darker display, it also counts with a much better 1644 x 3840 resolution, a much higher pixels amount per inch of display and a little larger display.
Xperia 1's CPU is very similar to Xiaomi Mi 8's CPU, both of them have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. Xiaomi Mi 8 takes slightly better photos and videos than Xperia 1, because although it has a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for shooting photos and video in poorly lited situations, and they both have the same resolution back-facing camera and the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also counts with higher 30 frames per second video frame rate and a larger camera sensor taking better quality videos and photographs.
The Xperia 1 has a bit more storage to install games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with an external memory card slot that supports up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a little longer battery life than Sony Xperia 1, because it has a 3400mAh battery size.
