Xperia PRO-I is much better than the Xiaomi Mi 8, having a 96.3 score against 83.3. Even though Xperia PRO-I is way newer than the Xiaomi Mi 8, it's somewhat thicker and notably heavier. Both of these phones have Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia PRO-I has a newer 11 version and Xiaomi Mi 8 has Android 10.
Sony Xperia PRO-I has a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Sony Xperia PRO-I also has more RAM memory. Xperia PRO-I features a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a much greater screen pixel density, a little larger screen and a much better resolution of 1644 x 3840.

The Xperia PRO-I features a lot bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a SD extension slot that allows up to 1 TB and 256 GB more internal storage. Sony Xperia PRO-I has longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 4500mAh of battery capacity.
