Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a general score of 83.3, which is a little bit better than the TCL 20 Pro 5G's 76.1 score. These devices work with Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Mi 8 has an older 10 version and TCL 20 Pro 5G has Android 11 version. Xiaomi Mi 8's body is a little lighter and somewhat thinner than TCL 20 Pro 5G, despite of the fact that it was released 3 years before.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a little sharper display than TCL 20 Pro 5G, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2248px and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite higher pixel density. TCL 20 Pro 5G counts with a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same 256 GB internal memory, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also has a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 1 TB.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with just a bit better processing power than TCL 20 Pro 5G. They have a 6 GB RAM and 8 CPU cores. TCL 20 Pro 5G takes better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same video frame rate, the same 3840x2160 video definition and the same camera aperture, the TCL 20 Pro 5G also has a back-facing camera with a much higher 48 megapixels resolution and a much bigger sensor shooting much better quality photos and videos.
TCL 20 Pro 5G has longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 32 percent larger battery capacity.
