Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is a bit better than the Xiaomi 12 Pro, with a overall score of 83.3 against 79.6. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Mi 8 has an older 10 version and Xiaomi 12 Pro has Android 12. Although the Xiaomi Mi 8 is noticeably older than the Xiaomi 12 Pro, it's construction is somewhat lighter and just a little thinner.
Xiaomi 12 Pro counts with a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a quite bigger screen, much more brightness, a better 1440 x 3200 resolution and a higher pixel count per inch of display. Xiaomi Mi 8 has a much greater memory for apps and games than Xiaomi 12 Pro, because it has more internal storage capacity.
Xiaomi Mi 8 has a much powerful processor than Xiaomi 12 Pro, although it has less RAM, they both have 8 cores. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a way better battery performance than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 35% larger battery capacity. Xiaomi 12 Pro shoots much better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, because although it has a smaller aperture which is worse for shooting images and/or video in low light environments, it also counts with a lot higher video quality, a much bigger back camera sensor providing a much higher image quality and a lot higher resolution back facing camera.
