Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a score of 86.6, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi 8's global score of 83.3. Xiaomi Black Shark 3's design is newer than Xiaomi Mi 8's, but it's much thicker and incredibly heavier. Both phones in this review come with the same Android 10 OS (Operating System). Xiaomi Black Shark 3 counts with a CPU that's just as good as the Xiaomi Mi 8 one, and although the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has 2 GB more RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a bit better screen than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a quite lower 1080 x 2248 resolution, it also counts with a just a bit higher pixels density. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a way better camera than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and a F1.8 camera aperture, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has a way bigger back-facing camera sensor taking way higher quality pictures and videos, a way higher 64 MP resolution camera and faster video frame rates.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 counts with a lot bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, because it has more internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Black Shark 3 counts with a way better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has a 4720mAh battery size against 3400mAh.
