Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer is better than the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, getting a 91.5 score against 81.4. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer's body is extremely newer, but thicker and noticeably heavier than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has the previous 12 version while Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has Android 9.0 Pie.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has just a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because although it has a just a bit lower screen density, it also counts with more display brightness, a little bit bigger display and a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer has a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, and although they both have 8 cores, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer also has 2 GB more RAM.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Explorer also has a much larger sensor which gives a much better image and video quality, a camera in the back with lot more mega-pixels and a larger camera aperture to capture better images in low-light environments.
