Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, having a overall score of 81.4 against 81.1. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is an older device than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, but Xiaomi managed to make it thinner and noticeably lighter anyway. Both of these phones work with Android OS, but the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has Android 10 version.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE features a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro, because although it has a little worse 1080 x 2340 resolution and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher display pixel density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro's processing unit is very similar to the CPU in Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, both of them have 8 cpu cores and the same RAM memory amount.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro has a greater memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro captures clearer videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low light photography and videos, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro also counts with a much higher resolution back-facing camera and a larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
