Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is a bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8, with a score of 83.2 against 79.5. The Xiaomi Mi 9 body is noticeably lighter and thinner than Asus ROG Phone 8, despite of the fact that it was released 5 years before. The Xiaomi Mi 9 has a much better performing processing unit than Asus ROG Phone 8, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Asus ROG Phone 8 features a brighter screen than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has a just a bit lower display pixel density, it also counts with a bit bigger screen, a bit higher 1080 x 2400 resolution and much more brightness. The Asus ROG Phone 8 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has a tinier camera aperture, it also counts with a lot better video resolution, a much bigger back camera sensor shooting way higher quality videos and photographs and a higher 50 megapixels resolution back camera.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a much greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has 256 GB internal storage capacity. Asus ROG Phone 8 features a really longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has a 5500mAh battery size.
