Comparison review
The Huawei P40 has a global score of 86.4, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi 9's score of 83.2. The Huawei P40 body is newer, but just a little thicker and just a bit heavier than the Xiaomi Mi 9. Xiaomi Mi 9 features a little sharper screen than Huawei P40, because although it has a bit lower quantity of pixels per display inch, and they both have the same 1080 x 2340 resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also counts with a bit larger display.
Huawei P40 features a processing unit that's just as good as the Xiaomi Mi 9 one, both have the same number of cores and a 6 GB RAM. The Huawei P40 features a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution and the same 60 fps video frame rates, the Huawei P40 also counts with a camera in the back with a better 50 mega-pixels resolution and a lot bigger back camera sensor providing a much better image quality.
The Huawei P40's storage to store more games and applications is just as good as the Xiaomi Mi 9 one, both of them have exactly the same internal storage capacity. Huawei P40 has just a little bit longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has 3800mAh of battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
