Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 9 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, with a general score of 83.2 against 81.9. Xiaomi Mi 9's body is newer, somewhat lighter and noticeably thinner than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active. Xiaomi Mi 9 has a bit faster processing unit than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also has 2 GB more RAM.
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active features a little sharper display than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a greater number of pixels per inch in the screen and a better resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels. Galaxy S8 Active has just a bit more storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
The Galaxy S8 Active has improved battery life than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. Xiaomi Mi 9 takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not recommended for shooting pictures and/or video in poorly lited environments, and they both have the same video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also counts with a camera with a lot better 48 mega pixels resolution, a lot bigger back camera sensor and higher 60 frames per second video frame rate.
