Comparison review
The Xperia 5 II is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi 9, having a general score of 87.2 against 83.2. Although Xperia 5 II is just a bit thicker than Xiaomi Mi 9, it's just a little lighter and also newer. The Xiaomi Mi 9 has a bit sharper screen than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a bit lower number of pixels per display inch and a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2340px, it also counts with a little bit larger screen.
Xperia 5 II counts with a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 9, and although they both have the same 128 GB internal memory, the Xperia 5 II also has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 1000 GB. Sony Xperia 5 II's processor is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi 9 one, and although the Sony Xperia 5 II has a greater amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
The Xperia 5 II has greater battery life than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity. Xiaomi Mi 9 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a tinier back-facing camera sensor, a smaller camera aperture which is worse for low light captures and video and lower 60 fps video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also counts with a camera with much more megapixels.
