Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 9 is just a bit better than the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, with an 83.2 score against 82.2. The Xiaomi Mi 9 construction is much thinner and a lot lighter than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, even when both were only released with a couple of months difference. The Xiaomi Mi 9 and the Xperia XZ2 Premium both have similar processing units, both of them have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 cpu cores.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much more vibrant display than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a much greater pixels amount per screen inch, a much higher 2160 x 3840px resolution and more brightness. Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bigger storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that supports up to 400 GB.
Xiaomi Mi 9 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Xperia XZ2 Premium, and although they both have a same size diafragm aperture and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also has a larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a lot higher resolution camera and higher video frame rate.
Xperia XZ2 Premium has a little better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has a 7 percent greater battery capacity.
