Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 9 has an overall score of 83.2, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi 12 Pro's 79.6 general score. The Xiaomi Mi 9 construction is somewhat lighter and a bit thinner than Xiaomi 12 Pro, despite of the fact that it was released 3 years before. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a slightly better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has a better number of pixels per display inch, a higher 1440 x 3200 resolution, way more brightness and a bit larger screen.
Xiaomi Mi 9 has a really superior processing power than Xiaomi 12 Pro, although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, they both have 8 cpu cores. Xiaomi 12 Pro captures a little bit better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture, it also counts with a lot higher 7680x4320 video resolution, a lot larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors and a higher 50 mega pixels resolution camera.
Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 9 feature really similar memory for apps and games, both have equal internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a way better battery life than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has 4600mAh of battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
