Galaxy A42 is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, getting an 87 score against 82.7. Both of these phones include Android operating system, but the Galaxy A42 has a newer 11 version while Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro has Android 10 version, so it offers some additional features. The Galaxy A42 design is newer and just a bit thinner, but a bit heavier than Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro.
Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro has a bit better processor than Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro also has more RAM memory. Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro has a much better looking display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a lot better display density.
Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro shoots slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A42, and although they both have the same camera aperture, the same 3840x2160 video quality and a camera in the back with a 48 mega pixels resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro also has faster 60 frames per second video frame rate.
The Galaxy A42 features a superior storage for applications and games than Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Galaxy A42 also has an external memory slot that supports up to 1000 GB. Samsung Galaxy A42 has longer battery duration than Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity.
