The Xiaomi Mi 9T is slightly better than Sony Xperia XA2 Plus, getting an 82.2 score against 78.6. Both of these devices use Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Mi 9T has older 10 version while Sony Xperia XA2 Plus has Android 8.0 Oreo version. The Xiaomi Mi 9T is a newer phone, and it's also a little bit thinner and a little bit lighter than the Sony Xperia XA2 Plus.

The Sony Xperia XA2 Plus and Xiaomi Mi 9T feature incredibly similar CPUs, they have the same RAM amount and a Octa-Core processor. The Xperia XA2 Plus features a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi 9T, because although it has a just a little lower amount of pixels per inch in the display, a little smaller display and a quite lower 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, it also counts with a quite more brightness.

Xperia XA2 Plus features a greater memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Mi 9T, because although it has only 64 GB internal storage capacity, it also counts with a SD card slot that holds up to 400 GB. The Xiaomi Mi 9T shoots better photographs and videos than Xperia XA2 Plus, and although they both have the same video definition and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xiaomi Mi 9T also has a bigger back-facing camera sensor which gives a higher photo and video quality, a camera in the back with lot more mega-pixels and a larger aperture for better low light captures.

The Xiaomi Mi 9T has a bit better battery lifetime than Xperia XA2 Plus, because it has a 4000mAh battery capacity.
