Huawei Mate 20 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi A1, having a 79.5 score against 75. Both of these devices have the same Android 9.0 Pie OS (operating system), so you shouldn't notice any difference regarding OS features. Even though the Huawei Mate 20 is newer than Xiaomi Mi A1, it is somewhat heavier and somewhat thicker.
Huawei Mate 20 features a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi A1, because although it has a bit worse pixels amount per display inch, it also counts with a larger display, way more brightness and a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2244. The Huawei Mate 20 features just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi A1. Both of them have 4 GB of RAM and the same number of cores.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 counts with a little bit more memory capacity for apps and games than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 256 GB. Huawei Mate 20 features better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi A1, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity.
The Huawei Mate 20 shoots just a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi A1, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and a same resolution back camera, the Huawei Mate 20 also has a bigger aperture.
