The Huawei Mate 20 lite is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi A1, getting a 76.2 score against 75. Both phones in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate 20 lite has older 8.1 Oreo version while Xiaomi Mi A1 has Android 9.0 Pie version. The Huawei Mate 20 lite body is newer, but a little thicker and just a little heavier than Xiaomi Mi A1.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 features a little bit better display than Huawei Mate 20 lite, although it has a little bit less pixels per inch in the screen, a bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a quite smaller display. Huawei Mate 20 lite has slightly more memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Mi A1, and although they both have equal internal memory, the Huawei Mate 20 lite also has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 512 GB.
Huawei Mate 20 lite features a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi A1. Both have a Octa-Core processing unit and a 4 GB RAM. Huawei Mate 20 lite has longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi A1, because it has a 22 percent bigger battery size. The Huawei Mate 20 lite captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi A1, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei Mate 20 lite also has a back facing camera with a much higher resolution, a larger camera aperture to take better low light images and videos and higher video frame rate.
