Comparison review
The Xperia Z5 Premium is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi A1, getting a 79.8 score against 75. Both devices in this comparison review use Android OS (operating system), but Xperia Z5 Premium has 5.1 version while Xiaomi Mi A1 has Android 9.0 Pie version. Even though Xperia Z5 Premium is a better device than the Xiaomi Mi A1, we must highlight that it's also much older, just a bit thicker and just a bit heavier.
Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a lot better looking display than Xiaomi Mi A1, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a lot better resolution of 3840 x 2160px and a lot greater screen pixels density. Xperia Z5 Premium features a bit faster processor than Xiaomi Mi A1, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xperia Z5 Premium also counts with a graphics co-processor.
The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi A1, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a larger aperture and a camera with a way better resolution. Xiaomi Mi A1 has a lot bigger storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, because it has 32 GB more internal memory capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB.
