The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a general score of 86.6, which is much better than the Xiaomi Mi A1's 75 global score. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 design is noticeably newer than Xiaomi Mi A1's, but it is way thicker and noticeably heavier. Both phones in this review include Android operating system, but Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has an older 10 version and Xiaomi Mi A1 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
Xiaomi Mi A1 features a slightly better looking display than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, because although it has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a little smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater display pixels density. Xiaomi Mi A1 counts with just a bit more storage capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that admits a maximum of 256 GB.
Xiaomi Black Shark 3 features a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi A1, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has 4 GB more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a much longer battery life than Xiaomi Mi A1, because it has 4720mAh of battery capacity against 3080mAh.
Xiaomi Black Shark 3 takes way better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi A1, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has a camera with way more mega-pixels, a larger aperture for better low-light captures and video and higher 60 frames per second video frame rates.
