The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi A1, getting a 77.2 score against 75. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro design is newer than Xiaomi Mi A1's, but it is a little bit heavier and somewhat thicker. Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has the previous 8.1 Oreo version while Xiaomi Mi A1 has Android 9.0 Pie version.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 has a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, although it has 2 GB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Mi A1, because although it has a just a bit lower count of pixels per inch in the display, it also counts with a little more brightness, a little higher 1080 x 2280 resolution and a bit bigger screen.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for low light images and videos, and they both have the same resolution back camera, the Xiaomi Mi A1 also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro's memory for games and applications is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi A1 one, they have the same internal memory capacity and a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 256 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features greater battery performance than Xiaomi Mi A1, because it has a 30% greater battery capacity.
