Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 8 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi A3, having an 83.3 score against 79.2. Both phones in our current comparison use Android operating system, but Xiaomi Mi 8 has the previous 10 version and Xiaomi Mi A3 has Android 11 version. Even though the Xiaomi Mi 8 is older and a bit heavier than the Xiaomi Mi A3, it's body is still just a bit thinner.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 features a sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi A3, because it has a quite larger display, a way better resolution of 1080 x 2248 and a greater pixels count per inch in the display. Xiaomi Mi 8 has just a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi A3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi 8 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
Xiaomi Mi A3 captures better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi 8, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and a same size aperture, the Xiaomi Mi A3 also has a lot more MP back-facing camera and a bigger camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Xiaomi Mi 8 features a slightly bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi A3, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Mi A3 features improved battery life than Xiaomi Mi 8, because it has 4030mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh.
