Google Pixel 2 XL has a general score of 82.5, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's 77.5 global score. Although Google Pixel 2 XL and the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 were only released with a few months difference, Google Pixel 2 XL's construction is just a little thicker but also somewhat lighter than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
Google Pixel 2 XL features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a much greater screen pixel density and a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2880. Google Pixel 2 XL has a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Both of them have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Google Pixel 2 XL, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB. The Google Pixel 2 XL takes clearer videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Google Pixel 2 XL also has a bigger camera sensor, a camera with a better 12.2 mega pixels resolution and a bigger camera aperture.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a very superior battery life than Google Pixel 2 XL, because it has a 5300mAh battery size.
Despite of being the best phone in our comparison, the Google Pixel 2 XL is also a bargain compared to the other devices, making it a no doubt choice.
