Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, having a 78.7 score against 77.5. Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a lighter phone than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but they have the same thickness. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560px and a lot better pixel count per inch in the display.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro counts with a bit better CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro's camera is just as good as the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 one, both of them have a same size aperture, a same size sensor, the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, a back-facing camera with a 12 mega pixels resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much bigger memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has an external SD slot that admits up to 128 GB. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has superior battery life than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Max 2, letting go a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
