The Huawei Mate X has a global score of 89.4, which is much better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's 77.5 general score. Huawei Mate X is a notably newer cellphone than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, although it is extremely thicker and noticeably heavier. The Huawei Mate X has a bit better processor than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei Mate X also has a larger amount of RAM memory.
The Huawei Mate X features just a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because it has a quite greater pixel count per display inch, a way higher 2200 x 2480 resolution and a bigger display. The Huawei Mate X features a much bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has no external SD slot, it also counts with 384 GB more internal memory.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features improved battery duration than Huawei Mate X, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity instead of 4500mAh. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 captures a bit better pictures and videos than Huawei Mate X, although it has a back facing camera with a way worse 12 megapixels resolution, a tinier camera aperture and a much smaller back camera sensor shooting lot worse quality pictures and videos.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Max 2, giving up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your money.
