Even being the best cellphone in this review, Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is an older, heavier and a little thicker cellphone than the Huawei nova 3. The Huawei nova 3 counts with a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2340px and a little bit higher pixel number in each inch of display.
Huawei nova 3 has a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei nova 3 also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Huawei nova 3 captures clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Huawei nova 3 also has a back camera with much more megapixels and a bigger diafragm aperture for better photos in poorly lited situations.
Huawei nova 3 has a little bit more memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Huawei nova 3 also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 256 GB. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a much better battery lifetime than Huawei nova 3, because it has a 5300mAh battery size instead of 3750mAh.
