Huawei P20 Pro is just a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, with a general score of 81.4 against 77.5. The Huawei P20 Pro design is newer and somewhat lighter than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's, although it's a little bit thicker. Huawei P20 Pro features a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Huawei P20 Pro also has more RAM.
The Huawei P20 Pro counts with a bit sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a little greater pixel density and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2240. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Huawei P20 Pro, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 128 GB.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features greater battery duration than Huawei P20 Pro, because it has a 5300mAh battery size. Huawei P20 Pro counts with a very superior camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same (4K) video definition and the same 30 fps video frame rate, the Huawei P20 Pro also has a larger aperture, a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor providing a way better image quality and a back camera with much more MP.
The Huawei P20 Pro costs more than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
