Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a score of 80.4, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's 77.5 overall score. The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition body is a lot lighter but just a little bit thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and both of them were only released 1 months apart. The Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a much better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per screen inch and a higher 1440 x 2560px resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a little faster processor than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. They have a 4 GB RAM and 8 cores. Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition's camera is just as good as Xiaomi Mi Max 2's camera, and although the Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition has a bigger sensor providing a better image quality and a way bigger aperture for better low-light photos, they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality, a same resolution back camera and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with more memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because although it has a SD extension slot that holds up to 128 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition, because it has a 5300mAh battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note Fan Edition is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your savings.
