Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, with an 83 score against 77.5. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Note8 and Xiaomi Mi Max 2 were only released 4 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 body is somewhat thicker but also a bit lighter. Galaxy Note8 has a little bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note8 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater pixel number per inch of screen and a much higher 1440 x 2960 resolution. Galaxy Note8 counts with a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a camera in the back with a 12 mega pixels resolution and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution, the Galaxy Note8 also has a bigger camera sensor shooting higher quality videos and pictures and a way larger aperture.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows 128 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 5300mAh battery size against 3300mAh.
Galaxy Note8 costs a lot more than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a much better phone for that extra money.
