Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has a score of 78.1, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2's overall score of 77.5. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge's design has the same thickness than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it's a lot lighter. The Galaxy S7 edge features a much better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher pixel density and a better resolution of 1440 x 2560px.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM memory, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has a larger number of cores. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a SD card slot that holds 72 GB smaller, it also counts with 96 GB more internal storage capacity.
Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rate, the same resolution back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge also has a way larger diafragm aperture for better photos and videos in low-light situations and a bigger back camera sensor capturing higher quality videos and pictures.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a superior battery life than Galaxy S7 edge, because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S7 edge is a better device, it is a bit more expensive than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Galaxy S7 edge, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, resigning some features and specs.
