Samsung Galaxy S9 has an overall score of 83.3, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's global score of 77.5. The Samsung Galaxy S9 body is newer and noticeably lighter, but also a little thicker than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Samsung Galaxy S9 features a much better screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater pixels quantity per inch in the display and a way better 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 has a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. They have the same RAM amount and 8 CPU cores. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a slightly bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy S9, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits 272 GB smaller, it also counts with more internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy S9 shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video definition and the same resolution camera, the Samsung Galaxy S9 also has a way larger camera aperture to take better low-light captures and videos, a larger camera sensor shooting better quality videos and photographs and higher 60 frames per second video frame rate.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much longer battery life than Galaxy S9, because it has 5300mAh of battery capacity.
