The Sony Xperia XZ Premium has a global score of 79.8, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2's 77.5 score. Even though the Sony Xperia XZ Premium and the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 were released only a couple months apart, Sony Xperia XZ Premium's body is a bit lighter but just a little bit thicker than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
The Xperia XZ Premium features a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better 2160 x 3840px resolution and a way better pixels density. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium features a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 2. Both of them have the same number of cores and the same RAM amount.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has more memory to store more apps and games than Xperia XZ Premium, because although it has an external SD slot that supports up to 128 GB against 256 GB, it also counts with more internal storage. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a much longer battery duration than Sony Xperia XZ Premium, because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity instead of 3230mAh.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium also has a camera with much more MP, a lot larger sensor capturing way higher quality pictures and videos and a larger camera aperture for better photography in poorly lited situations.
