Comparison review
Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, with an 82.2 score against 77.5. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a newer cellphone than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it is heavier and a lot thicker. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has 2 GB more RAM.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a lot better display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher 2160 x 3840 pixels resolution and a lot more pixels per inch in the display. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a slightly bigger storage capacity to store more games and applications than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has an external memory card slot that allows 272 GB smaller, it also counts with 64 GB more internal memory.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a much longer battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 50 percent larger battery size. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a back facing camera with much more mega pixels, a bigger camera aperture to capture better images and video in low light situations and a lot larger back-facing camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors.
Although Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Xperia XZ2 Premium, but if you don't you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, giving up some features and specs.
