Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is better than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, getting an 88.9 score against 77.5. Although the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha is a lot newer than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, it is thicker and heavier. Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha counts with just a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha also has 8 GB more RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha features a bit better looking screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because it has a just a bit higher pixels quantity per screen inch, a way higher 2088 x 2250 pixels resolution and a larger display. Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha features a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 384 GB more internal storage capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha shoots better photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha also has a lot bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing much better quality pictures, a way larger camera aperture for better low light captures and video and a camera in the back with lot more mega-pixels.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has superior battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity.
