Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, getting a global score of 77.5 against 75.7. Despite of the fact the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is much older and heavier than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, it's design is still just a bit thinner. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has a more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because it has a little bit higher display density, a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a quite bigger screen.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a much better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has an external memory slot that holds up to 128 GB. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a much greater processing power than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have a Octa-Core processing unit.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro shoots much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro also has a way higher 50 mega pixels resolution back camera, a bigger aperture for better low light images and videos and a way bigger sensor capturing way higher quality videos and pictures.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a little better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, because it has a 6% larger battery capacity.
