Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has a score of 76.5, which is a little bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 3's 74.9 general score. These phones have Android OS, but Huawei P20 Lite (2019) has a more recent 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has Android 8.1 Oreo version, so it provides you some additional features and performance tweaks. The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) body is newer and somewhat lighter, but also just a bit thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max 3.
The Huawei P20 Lite (2019) features just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 3. They have a Octa-Core processor and a 4 GB RAM.
