Sony Xperia 1 III has a global score of 93.3, which is much better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 3's general score of 74.9. Although the Sony Xperia 1 III is just a little bit thicker than the Xiaomi Mi Max 3, it's lighter and also much newer. These phones include Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia 1 III has the older 11 version and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has Android 8.1 Oreo.
The Xperia 1 III counts with a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xperia 1 III also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The Xperia 1 III counts with a brighter display than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a lot better 1644 x 3840 resolution and a lot higher screen pixels density.
Sony Xperia 1 III counts with a superior camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have a camera in the back with a 12 mega-pixels and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia 1 III also has better video frame rates, a larger diafragm aperture for better captures and videos in poorly lited situations and a lot larger sensor which offers a way better photo and video quality.
