Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has an overall score of 79, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 3's 74.9 score. Both of these phones include Android OS (operating system), but Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has the older 8.0 Oreo version and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has Android 8.1 Oreo. Even though the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 were released with only a couple months difference, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact design is incredibly lighter but also noticeably thicker.
Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, because although it has a way smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a higher pixels number per inch of display. The Xperia XZ2 Compact counts with just a bit more memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have the same 64 GB internal storage capacity, the Xperia XZ2 Compact also has a slot for an SD memory card that supports a maximum of 400 GB.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact has just a little better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 3. Both have a Octa-Core processor and the same RAM amount. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 features a very superior battery duration than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity against 2870mAh. Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact shoots much better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, because although it has a tinier aperture, and they both have the same video definition, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also counts with a bigger back-facing camera sensor capturing higher quality videos and photos, a way more megapixels back facing camera and higher video frame rate.
