Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a global score of 82.2, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 3's 74.9 general score. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is an a little heavier and noticeably thicker phone than Xiaomi Mi Max 3. The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a much more vibrant screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher pixel density and a much higher resolution of 2160 x 3840.
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium has a little faster processor than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a bit more memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have the same internal storage, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 400 GB.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 features a very superior battery performance than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 5500mAh battery capacity. The Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution and the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger diafragm aperture to capture better photography and videos in low light situations, a camera in the back with a lot higher 19 megapixels resolution and a bigger camera sensor providing a better image quality.
