Xiaomi Black Shark has a score of 80.4, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max 3's overall score of 74.9. Even though the Xiaomi Black Shark and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 were only released with a couple of months difference, Xiaomi Black Shark's construction is somewhat lighter but thicker than Xiaomi Mi Max 3. These devices include Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Black Shark has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has Android 8.1 Oreo version, giving you a couple additional features.
Xiaomi Black Shark counts with a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Black Shark also has a higher amount of RAM. Xiaomi Black Shark has a sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, the Xiaomi Black Shark also counts with a bit greater pixels count in each inch of screen.
The Xiaomi Black Shark takes slightly better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, because although it has a tinier sensor capturing less light and dull colors, and they both have a back facing camera with a 12 mega-pixels resolution, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same video resolution, the Xiaomi Black Shark also counts with a bigger aperture.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has a slightly bigger storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Black Shark, because although it has less internal storage capacity, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 256 GB. Xiaomi Mi Max 3 features a superior battery performance than Xiaomi Black Shark, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity.
