Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi 9 has an overall score of 83.2, which is better than Xiaomi Mi Max 3's overall score of 74.9. The Xiaomi Mi 9 design is just a bit thinner and incredibly lighter than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, even though both were only released 8 months apart. Xiaomi Mi 9 counts with a brighter display than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a little greater pixel density and a slightly better 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution.
Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has just a bit bigger memory capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 9, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory, it also counts with a SD memory slot that allows up to 256 GB. The Xiaomi Mi 9 counts with a little faster CPU than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 captures greater pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max 3, and although they both have the same (4K) video resolution, the Xiaomi Mi 9 also has a larger aperture to take better images in poorly lited situations, a much larger camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, higher video frame rate and a lot more mega-pixels camera.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 3 features a really longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 9, because it has 5500mAh of battery capacity instead of 3300mAh.
